She played the bugle in her victory in the Mental Calculation World Cup held in 2010.

Priyanshi Somani has brought laurels to India by winning a gold medal in Mental Calculation World Championship 2020.

In 6.51 minutes, at the age of 11, Priyanshi Somani was able to extract the square root of a 6-digit number up to 8 digits very easily in her mind.

Birth

Priyanshi Somani was born on 16 November 1998 in Surat, Gujarat. Priyanshi's mother's name is Anju Somani and her father's name is Satyen Somani.

At the age at which you must have seen children playing with toys, Priyanshi Somani used to solve numbers in her mind.

How the journey of maths calculation started

Seeing their daughter's inclination toward maths, Priyanshi Somani's parents started sending her to mental mathematics classes from the age of 6, where she was taught to calculate the largest number of maths in her mind. This is the technique that helps in understanding the complex principles of mathematics easily.

What was it then, she started solving maths questions without paper and pencil.

Slowly she kept practicing and improving her calculations every day.

By the age of 7, in 2006 she became the National Champion in Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition held in India.

After this spectacular victory, Priyanshi Somani took part in an international abacus competition held in Malaysia in 2007 and became the champion there too, displaying her tremendous talent.

This trend continued in 2010 as well and in 6:51 minutes in Mental Calculation World Cup, Priyanshi Somani also got the first place to find the square root of up to 8 significant digits.

Along with this, he broke all records by solving 10 different calculations of square root correctly in 6:28 minutes.

In the year 2012, he created a new world record by finding the square root of a 6-digit number up to 10 digits in 2:43 minutes.

In 2020, Priyanshi Somani also won the first gold medal in Mental Calculation World Champion.

Priyanshi Somani has the honor of being India's youngest human calculator. Along with this, his name is also recorded in Limca Book of World Records and Guinness Book of World Records.

Apart from solving Maths questions, Priyanshi Somani also has a lot of love for theater and is currently active in theatre.
